This module is designed to help liquid control valve design and modeling calculation based on the ISA[1] methods. It can be applied to large variety of calculation requirements by considering the valve geometry impact, two phase flow, choke flow constrain, and laminar/transitional correction. A link to the valve database provides a quick and easy way of input the valve coefficients. The valve database can be edited by user and the update will be shown without programming effort.
This control valve calculation module provides following features and will do following work according to the selections:
- Calculate Cv, Flow Rate, Upstream Pressure or Downstream Pressure
- Estimate the geometry impact of inlet and outlet reducers
- Detect choke flow constrain
- Evaluate non-turbulent flow (Laminar or transitional) correction for high viscosity liquid
